การสอบวัดคุณสมบัติ คือ การสอบเพื่อประเมินความพร้อมและ ความสามารถของนักศึกษาปริญญาเอกเพื่อมีสิทธิ์เสนอโครงร่าง ดุษฎีนิพนธ์

การสอบประมวลความรู้ คือ การสอบเพื่อทดสอบความรู้ในแนว กว้างความสามารถในการผสมผสานแนวความคิดและเนื้อหาและ ความสามารถในการนําเอาความรู้มาแก้ปัญหา ผู้มีสิทธิ์สอบต้อง ลงทะเบียนกระบวนวิชาต่างๆ ครบถ้วนตามหลักสูตร และสอบ ผ่านกระบวนวิชาบังคับโดยได้อักษรลําดับขั้นไม่ต่ำกว่า C

Qualifying Examintion is to evaluate readiness and capability of doctoral students, in order to receive the right to enroll dissertation

Comprehensive Examination is to test general knowledge, concepts and content integration capability, and knowledge application capability in problem solving. The student must have enrolled all courses specified in the curriculum and pass all required courses with at least grade C.

การเสนอหัวข้อและโครงร่างปริญญานิพนธ์
จะต้องประกอบด้วยองค์ประกอบต่างๆ เหล่านี้

การสอบโครงร่างปริญญานิพนธ์ คือ การสอบเพื่อประเมิน ความสามารถของนักศึกษาทั้งในระดับปริญญาโทและ ปริญญาเอก เพื่อประเมินความสามารถในการวางแผน และวิธีการ ดำเนินการวิจัย สำหรับนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอก จะต้องผ่าน การสอบวัดคุณสมบัติ จึงจะมีสิทธิ์ขอรับการสอบโครงร่าง ดุษฎีนิพนธ์ได้

The Thesis Proposal Examination is designed to evaluate a candidate’s ability to plan, conduct evaluate a candidate’s ability to plan, conduct and communicate independent research in both oral and written form. The quality of the proposal document is an important part of the evaluation. Each year the department holds a thesis proposal preparation guidance session. Ph.D. Students who have completed the Qualifying Examination are encouraged to attend.

นักศึกษาตกลงยินยอมมอบลิขสิทธิ์สิทธิบัตร อนุสิทธิบัตร สิทธิ ในงานประดิษฐ์ ความลับทางการค้าและทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาอื่นๆ ในวิทยานิพนธ์หรือการศึกษาอิสระ ให้แก่มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ ตลอดอายุการคุ้มครองตามกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับทรัพย์สินทาง ปัญญา

Student who agree to consign Copyright, Patent, Petty Patent, Patent of Invention, Trade Secret and other Intellectual Properties in the approved Dissertation/Thesis/I.S. to Chiang Mai University throughout the Legal Protection of any involved Intellectual Property Law.

ในกรณีที่นักศึกษาขอกลับไปปฏิบัติงาน ณ ต้นสังกัด หรือเหตุผลอื่น ทั้งนี้ นักศึกษาต้องได้รับอนุมัติหัวข้อและโครงร่าง เพื่อทําวิทยานิพนธ์หรือการค้นคว้าแบบอิสระแล้ว และมีความก้าว หน้าเป็นที่น่าพอใจตามความเห็นของอาจารย์ที่ปรึกษา บัณฑิต วิทยาลัยจึงจะออกหนังสือรับรองให้

Using for resuming their official duty of other purpose, studentwill be eligible to receive a recommendation letter only when student has receive a Thesis/I.S. Title and Proposal Approval with Satisfactory Progress of Study consented by the advisor.

การย้ายสาขาวิชาในหลักสูตรระดับเดียวกันภายในส่วนงานเดิม หรือระหว่างส่วนงาน ทั้งนี้ การย้ายสาขาวิชาจะต้องสอดคล้องกับ หลักสูตร โดยที่นักศึกษาที่ประสงค์จะขอย้ายสาขาวิชา

Changing plan and/or type of study program in the same degree program between Plan A and Plan B in the master’s degree program or between Type I and Type II in the doctoral degree program.

การย้ายสาขาวิชาในหลักสูตรระดับเดียวกันระหว่างส่วนงาน ทั้งนี้ การย้ายสาขาวิชาจะต้องสอดคล้องกับหลักสูตร

Transfering plan and/or type of study program in different faculty between Plan A and Plan B.

การโอนระดับปริญญาในหลักสูตรระดับเดียวกันของสาขาวิชาเดิม ระหว่าง แบบ 1 (แผน ก) ทุกแบบ และแบบ 2 (แผน ข) ใน หลักสูตรระดับปริญญาโท หรือระหว่าแบบ 1 และแบบ 2 ในหลัก สูตรระดับปริญญาเอก ทั้งนี้ การเปลี่ยนแผการศึกษาจะต้องสอด คล้องกับหลักสูตร

Transferring the field of concentration on the same degree program within the same faculty. Transfering the field of concentration must relate with the course syllabus.

หากนักศึกษาไม่ประสงค์จะลงทะเบียนเรียนในภาคการศึกษานั้นๆ ต้องลาพักการศึกษา โดยการชำระค่าธรรมเนียมลาพักการศึกษา ภาคการศึกษาละ 5,000 บาท เพื่อรักษาสถานภาพนักศึกษาใน ภาคการศึกษานั้นๆ เอาไว้ ยกเว้นภาคการศึกษาที่ได้ชําระค่า ธรรมเนียมลงทะเบียนกระบวนวิชาไปแล้ว

Student who do not need to enroll, must taking leave whole academic year and pay the fee for maintaining student status 5,000 Baht, except the semester that have enrolled with the tuition fee paid.

การขอขยายระยะเวลาการศึกษา จะกระทำได้เฉพาะกรณีมีความ จำเป็นทางวิชาการหรือมีเหตุสุดวิจัย และผลงานวิทยานิพนธ์/การ ค้นคว้าอิสระจะต้องมีความก้าวหน้าอย่างเด่นชัด

Extension of study is possible for necessary technical or personal reasons when the Dissertation/Thesis/I.S. has made sufficient progress. The entire period of study including extension must not exceed the prescribed standards.

การสอบดุษฎีนิพนธ์/วิทยานิพนธ์/การค้นคว้าแบบอิสระ จะเป็น การสอบแบบปากเปล่า (Oral Examination) โดยนักศึกษา ระดับปริญญาเอกจะต้องใช้ภาษาอังกฤษตลอดช่วงระยะเวลาของ การสอบ

The Dissertation/Thesis/I.S. defense is a formal oral examination between student and committee. A Doctoral degree student must use English as the medium of communication for thesis defense.

การเปลี่ยนชื่อเรื่องปริญญานิพนธ์ภาษาไทย และ/หรือ ภาษาอังกฤษ โดยคณะกรรมการสอบป้องกันวิทยานิพนธ์

Changing Title of Dissertation/Thesis/I.S. must be approved by the Dissertation/Thesis/I.S. Examination Comittee

สำหรับนักศึกษาที่มีความประสงค์จะขอปกปิดและไม่เผยแพร่ ปริญญานิพนธ์ในช่วงระยะเวลา 5 ปี, 10 ปี หรือตลอดอายุ ลิขสิทธิ์

Student who requests for Concealing Dissertation/Thesis/I.S. without publication and also the CD containing the data involved for the period of 5 years, 10 years or throughout the period of copyright by law or other purpose.
